PLANTER'S CABIN
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA
This building was part of the Kleinpeter family clan settlement along Highland road in Baton Rouge, LA. Although there is no actual date of construction, the building was on a Spanish land grant given in 1794. In many ways, it is the "proto-typical' type of house for the late 18th and early 19th century in south Louisiana. The house was still standing until it burned in the 1990's.
